The experience and knowledge of people working in public institutions is one of the greatest assets for advancing towards the Sustainable Development Goals. They constitute a country’s #PublicExpertise, and their mobilisation and exchange is at the heart of FIAP’s cooperation projects.
In the last year alone, we have mobilised 494 professionals from our public sector in cooperation projects abroad, including 69 development workers on long-term missions (more than six months). They have worked with institutions in more than 120 countries promoting public systems for people and the planet.
In 2025, we managed to increase the number of women mobilised by 7%, thus reducing the gender gap.
We are strengthening the participation of regional and local administrations, which already represent 27% of the mobilized #PublicTalent.
Cooperation between institutions is key to a multilateral world in which different countries address joint solutions to shared challenges. Here we gather the testimonies of our #PublicExpertise, professionals who have shared their expertise to create a better world.
