The European project has provided the school with computers and printers to support the creation of a computer room and strengthen its pedagogical capacity.
The European project CT JUST has developed a close partnership with the Tunisian Higher School of the Security Forces (ESFSI), whose mission is to provide strategic and operational training for young senior executives destined to occupy high-level management positions in its various services. This school, which trains 32 students each year, is resolutely committed to the future by constantly improving the education provided to its senior executives. With an international approach, it has developed a twinning agreement with the Institute of Higher Education of the French Ministry of the Interior (IHEMI), but wishes to extend this experience to neighbouring countries by upgrading the school to the level of a regional academy of higher education, giving priority to exchanges of experience.
Last year, the trainees benefited from three training modules dedicated to the strategic management of the terrorist crisis. During these modules, which focused on the role of the manager in crisis management and the different tools at their disposal, participants gained knowledge and strengthened their skills, enabling them to better understand their future role as leaders in the three main phases of a crisis: crisis anticipation, crisis management and post-crisis.
To strengthen the pedagogical capacity of the ESFSI, the CT JUST project, in close cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Tunisia (EUD), has purchased equipment to support the creation of a computer training room at the school, including 20 state-of-the-art laptops and six printers.
The equipment, which is purely educational in nature and does not include intrusive investigation software, was handed over to the ESFSI director at a ceremony also attended by the EUD counter-terrorism expert. The EUD representative took the opportunity to stress that all actions financed by the European Union must be guided by strict respect for democracy, human rights and international conventions and agreements.
This endowment will enable the ESFSI to reinforce its pedagogical capacity, providing students with a framework conducive to the acquisition of knowledge essential for the high-level responsibilities they will have to assume in the future.
