FIAP is sharing the collaborative work it is carrying out to help countries make more solid progress with their nutrition policies.
Rome Nutrition Week is addressing key issues for the future of global nutrition: scientific evidence and innovation as the basis for public policy decisions; the affordability of healthy diets; funding for nutrition and resource mobilisation; the impact of conflicts and humanitarian crises on food security; the resilience of agri-food systems; the integration of health and nutrition; and the need for more coordinated and effective multilateral action.
FIAP has participated this week in Rome Nutrition Week 2026 through the European Union’s EU4SUN project. The event, held at FAO headquarters in Rome, brought together United Nations agencies, governments and international experts committed to a common goal: moving towards a world free from hunger and malnutrition.
This week, FIAP has had the opportunity to share the work that EU4SUN is carrying out alongside the SUN countries, their focal points and representatives of the SUN movement. The project focuses on strengthening multisectoral governance of nutrition, supporting governments in developing more coherent, inclusive and evidence-based public policies, and demonstrating how European cooperation helps to consolidate multisectoral and multi-stakeholder platforms, foster regional and national dialogues, and provide technical, policy and strategic assistance that strengthens countries’ capacity to advance their nutrition commitments.
The EU4SUN project has had the opportunity to highlight the work it is carrying out with the governments of SUN countries to drive the implementation of their N4G commitments, improve the use of domestic resources and strengthen their readiness to access different sources of funding. This technical and policy support is enabling countries to make more solid progress in the planning, coordination and monitoring of their nutrition policies.
FIAP’s participation in Rome Nutrition Week 2026 reaffirms the organisation’s commitment to nutrition, food security and international cooperation, and reflects the belief that only through strong partnerships, evidence-based policies and coherent multilateral action will it be possible to ensure healthy and sustainable diets for everyone.
