CBRN: Strengthening chemical waste management in East and Central Africa

Burundi, Etiopía, Ghana, Kenia, Malawi, Rep Dem Congo, Ruanda, Seychelles, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia

East and Central Africa continue to face challenges in the management of chemicals and waste. Despite previous initiatives, the accumulation of this waste continues to rise, posing environmental and public health risks. To address these risks, international cooperation and joint efforts by various institutions are essential. All partners are participating in the Centres of Excellence (CoE) to carry out a wide range of CBRN risk mitigation activities, in which FIAP will also participate as part of a consortium alongside GIZ from Germany and CENIA from the Czech Republic, specifically focusing on improving the legal framework and inter-institutional collaboration.

This project is in line with the External Action Strategy of the
Spanish Government.
