"The project is divided into two components:
1. Improving staff skills in the ombudsman's offices, especially by improving the capacities of the regional offices.
This component includes managing staff skills, the handling of complaints, training activities in regional offices, a review of the Ombudsman's computer system, a study visit to Madrid and the strengthening of the area of children's rights, people with special needs, prevention of torture, representation of minors and discrimination.
2. Improving citizens' knowledge about the ombudsman's remit.
As part of this component, several round tables are planned to be held on the following topics: prevention of torture, children’s rights, women and domestic violence, discrimination, special needs and freedom of expression.”
