Boosting employment in Honduras

In the Technical Assistance contract "Specialised Services for the Development of National Capacities to Boost Employment in Honduras", which is funded by the European Union and led by FIIAPP, specialists from the Extremadura Public Employment Service (SEXPE), the General Directorate of the Public Employment Service in the Community of Madrid and the Spanish Ministry of Employment, Migration and Social Security  provide technical and specialised support to the Honduran Ministry of Employment and Social Security  (STSS).

Through all its lines of action, the project contributes to achieving the specific objective of the EURO+LABOR programme, within which it is framed, which seeks to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Honduras to promote decent employment and reduce underemployment and unemployment.

Its actions are coordinated with other key Honduran stakeholders such as the Economic and Social Council (CES), the Secretariat of General Government Coordination (SCGG), the Secretariat of Finance (SEFIN), the Secretariat of Economic Development (SDE), the National Institute of Professional Training (INFOP), the Honduran Social Security Institute (IHSS) and the National Statistics Institute (INE).
